Behind these project figures lies over 40 years of entrepreneurial experience in the construction industry by Peter Helm and his team, which today is applied to the planning, construction, and long-term operation of photovoltaic systems for investors and commercial enterprises—from the initial site acquisition to ongoing monitoring after commissioning. Each completed project represents a contract with mediplan Helm e.K.: with personal, unlimited liability and the owner’s full commitment.
Logic Energy is the operational PV project planning and construction brand of Logic Glas GmbH—responsible for planning, construction, and technical implementation. Commercial project management, investor agreements, and site acquisition are handled by mediplan Helm e.K., the contractual partner for direct PV investments. Logic Glas GmbH and mediplan Helm e.K. are legally independent companies; together, they cover the entire lifecycle of a PV system from a single source.

Solar Power Without Upfront Costs
You provide us with your roof, we install the solar system—and you get affordable electricity. We invest in, build, and operate the PV system on your roof. You purchase the solar power generated at a fixed, affordable price (typically 20–30% below the grid electricity price, based on Logic Energy project data for 2025). No investment, no hassle, immediate cost savings.
Suitable for: Industrial buildings, commercial buildings, logistics centers: PV-optimized carports and warehouses are possible. Also suitable for structurally weak roofs (using our proprietary roof bridge system).
Investment Model for Investors
Invest as little as €100,000 in fully planned solar power systems and receive revenue from electricity sales for 20–40 years. We secure the land, plan, and obtain permits for the projects—you invest in systems that are ready for construction.
Fully planned projects—no development risk for you. The contractual partner is mediplan Helm e.K., with personal, unlimited liability on the part of the owner—no anonymous investment. You make the investment, and we’ll build a high-quality, self-sufficient PV power system for your business based on a customized plan. Maximum control, long-term savings, full ownership rights.

TAKE ADVANTAGE OF TAX BENEFITS
Many of our investors use tax instruments such as the investment deduction (IAB) pursuant to Section 7g(1) of the German Income Tax Act (EStG)—up to 50% of the anticipated investment costs are deductible in advance, up to a maximum of €200,000 per business (for the deduction year and the three preceding years combined), provided that the profit in the deduction year, excluding the IAB, does not exceed €200,000—as well as the special depreciation under Section 7g(5) of the German Income Tax Act (EStG) (40% of the reduced tax base). With straight-line depreciation (at a depreciation rate of 5% per year), this amounts to a cumulative 72.5% of the acquisition costs over two fiscal years, and 22.5% in the investment year itself. Together with the declining-balance depreciation under § 7 (2) EStG (at a depreciation rate of 15% per year, only for acquisitions after June 30, 2025, and before January 1, 2028), up to 77.5% of the acquisition cost is tax-deductible cumulatively over two fiscal years—27.5% in the year of investment itself, because the IAB is already deducted in the year prior to the acquisition. This rate applies to acquisitions made in January; for acquisitions made in October, it drops to approximately 71.9%. The IAB and special depreciation require, among other things, that the asset be used at a domestic business premises (Section 7g(1), first sentence, and (6)(2) of the German Income Tax Act (EStG)); for assets located in Italy or Spain, this requirement is generally not met under the current wording of the law. We offer comprehensive solutions for photovoltaic systems—from site selection to long-term operation.

"e.K." stands for "registered merchant." The owner is personally and fully liable for all obligations (Sections 1, 17, 19 of the German Commercial Code (HGB))—unlike a limited liability company (GmbH). For you, this means: a contractual partner who stands behind their name.

For Investors

Investors take ownership of one or more inverters in a PV system and receive the profits/revenue generated by those inverters. The term is 20 years, with an option to extend it to up to 40 years. It is also possible to purchase entire systems. The contracting party is mediplan Helm e.K.

The minimum investment is €100,000.

Inverters convert the generated direct current into grid-compatible alternating current. Each inverter is responsible for a specific part of the system. Through the inverter yield sharing system, you receive transparent, traceable yield data from "your" system unit.

Our group actively handles site acquisition —this is one of our unique selling points. You don’t have to worry about finding land yourself. mediplan Helm systematically searches for suitable sites and takes care of all the necessary permits.

Upon request, we can put you in touch with our house bank. However, the decision on financing rests with the bank and depends on your individual creditworthiness. Many of our investors finance their projects in part through bank loans.

The initial term is 20 years, with an optional extension of up to 40 years. At the end of the contract, you may choose to continue operating the facility or have it dismantled.

Yes! Many industrial roofs are only structurally sound in certain areas (above the supports). We have developed our own roof bridging system that distributes the load across the load-bearing areas. We can often make roofs usable that other providers turn down.
For farmers

Agri-PV combines agriculture and solar power generation on the same land. The solar modules are mounted off the ground so that crop cultivation or livestock farming can still take place beneath them. In the research project at Lake Constance (Heggelbach, 0.3-hectare test site), land-use efficiency ranged from 160 to 190 percent, depending on the year and crop—measured in terms of agricultural and solar power yields, not revenue.

Yes! With agri-PV, the land remains fully usable for crop farming, grassland, or grazing. With ground-mounted systems, you can lease the land and receive lease income while the land is ecologically enhanced (flower strips, biodiversity).

After 20 years (with an optional extension), the facility will either be dismantled and the site restored to its original condition, or you may extend the lease. The obligation to dismantle the facility is governed by the contract.
Technical Questions

In its study on the levelized cost of electricity from renewable energy sources (July 2024), Fraunhofer ISE assumes a service life of 30 years. The performance warranty depends on the manufacturer and is specified in the data sheet for each module.

Inverters convert direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC). There is no standard service life —it depends on the unit, its application, and maintenance. Inverters are replaced as needed (costs are factored into the operating plan).

Yes, PV systems generate electricity even when the sky is cloudy—just not as much as they do in direct sunlight. The systems are designed to produce long-term average yields, not to maximize output on a single day.

Solar power systems are designed to withstand extreme weather conditions (snow loads, wind loads) and are insured accordingly. Snow usually slides off on its own or melts due to the heat generated by the panels.
