Founding of Mediplan Helm e.K.

The Helm Group traces its roots back to the founding of Mediplan Helm by Werner and Peter Helm. With their company headquarters at that time in Gehülz, Kronach, the two entrepreneurs laid the foundation for what would eventually become today’s Helm Group.

From the very beginning, Mediplan Helm focused on architecture and construction, later expanding into the acquisition of land and buildings as well as photovoltaics.

Founding of Logic Glas GmbH

The name LOGIC Glas has its origins in an innovative development project: For a well-known client in the consumer goods industry, the company developed a conductive glass for a multifunctional shelving system featuring a unique lighting concept.

This expertise laid the foundation for the company’s further development. From then on, LOGIC Glas designed its own designer lighting fixtures and continuously expanded its range of services. In addition to product development, this also included professional lighting design as well as the installation of lighting fixtures for major clients.

Expansion of Mediplan Helm e.K.

In 2012, Mediplan Helm reached an important milestone in its corporate history. The company expanded substantially and entered a new, forward-looking business segment with medical and pharmaceutical facilities. This expansion underscored Mediplan Helm’s innovative strength and ability to adapt to market needs.

Launch of the Logic Light brand

In 2016, the company reached a significant milestone with the launch of the LOGIC Light brand under the LOGIC Glas umbrella. Through strategic partnerships with renowned national and international manufacturers in the fields of LED lighting technology and control systems, LOGIC Light established itself in the market. In addition, the company began distributing LED products, thereby rounding out its range of services.

Launch of the Logic Sky Brand

The year 2016 brought another innovation: the launch of the Logic Sky brand. At its core was a skylight system protected by a utility model, featuring electronic light guidance that dynamically adjusts to the position of the sun. The integrated control technology enables optimal and energy-efficient use of natural daylight.

Founding of the Logic Tec brand

With the founding of the Logic Tec brand in 2018, the corporate group expanded its portfolio to include an important production segment. Logic Tec focuses on the manufacture of electronic components and LED profiles, thereby enabling greater independence within the value chain as well as higher quality standards in manufacturing.

Founding of Vision Pro Labs Holding GmbH

With the founding of VISIONPROLABS HOLDING GmbH in 2018, the corporate group established its central innovation hub. As a German think tank, VISIONPROLABS is dedicated to developing forward-looking product ideas and innovative concepts. This is where the course is set for the next generation of intelligent solutions.

Founding of unidice GmbH

The founding of unidice GmbH in 2018 marked the company’s entry into an entirely new business sector. The company developed a revolutionary game die whose patented design combines the advantages of analog and digital gaming worlds. With integrated displays and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology, the die communicates seamlessly with smart devices, creating a unique bridge between a tactile gaming experience and digital interaction.

Launch of the Logic Energy Brand

The year 2020 saw the launch of Logic Energy, a brand fully committed to the future of energy supply. Specializing in photovoltaics, Logic Energy supports projects from the initial concept through to turnkey handover—from project development and planning to construction. The company continuously invests in expertise, ensuring it remains at the forefront of technological developments in the field of solar energy.

Acquisition of Schardt and its integration into unidice GmbH

The year 2025 marked a significant milestone for unidice GmbH: the acquisition and integration of Schardt, a renowned manufacturer of children’s furniture based in the Upper Franconia region. This acquisition combines long-standing manufacturing expertise with an innovative entrepreneurial spirit. Currently, the product line is undergoing a fundamental modernization and is being expanded with forward-thinking furniture designs that meet the needs of modern families.

Founding of Logic Energy Mallorca

In 2025, the founding of Logic Energy Mallorca marked an important step in the group’s international expansion. With its location in the Balearic Islands, Logic Energy is tapping into the Spanish renewable energy market and leveraging the region’s excellent climatic conditions for innovative photovoltaic projects. Logic Energy Mallorca is now bringing its proven expertise in the design, planning, and implementation of PV systems to the Mediterranean region as well.

Founding of Logic Energy Italy

Logic Energy Italy was also founded in 2025, thereby consistently continuing the group’s international expansion. By entering the Italian market, Logic Energy is positioning itself in one of Europe’s most dynamic markets for renewable energy. Its locations in Southern Europe enable the company to make optimal use of its expertise in photovoltaic projects in regions with high levels of solar radiation and to actively help shape the energy transition in the Mediterranean region.
